Foodie bliss
Made a trip to my local Wild Oats today, and picked up all my fav things. Among the haul was Brie de Meaux (which I talked up to a guy who was asking the cheese guy about Brie), ginger-flecked dark chocolate, and lots of fresh organic veggies for the veggie soup I plan to make tomorrow. And happily, the organic salad greens were two for $3, so I have enough to make Katie’s Lettuce Soup this week–yay! I also picked up my favorite French Rhone reds. Nothing better than a dinner of Brie & olives w/wine for starts, then chicken on a (huge) bed of greens with oil & balsamic vinegar dressing. And another bit of Brie (I just can’t help it. Love the stuff too much.) And then dark chocolate for dessert. Mmmm…
I also picked up some more herbs to plant: garlic chives, thyme, and dill. They’ll get planted tomorrow in the new bed; pics to come.
Wow, that sounds like a gorgeous dinner! Brie, olives, wine and…other stuff!
I think you’ll like the garlic chives, I use mine even more than the regular variety. Your herb garden is going to be lovely… It’s just that waiting time …
At least you get to nibble while you weed, haha!
Hope you like the soup!
Haha—Katie you’re right about the nibbling! Just hope I don’t nibble them all to nubs! ;-)
