A recent letter sent to “Dear Abby” and posted on Yahoo told of a young boy having a bad reaction to old pancake mix. This happened to me years ago; I had a very, very severe reaction to some. The woman’s letter mentions that she read about a case where a man died from eating outdated mix.

It’s really amazing how much we take for granted in our food. The more aware I get, the more organic I go, the more I am horrified and disgusted at what is offered to us as “food.” While pancake mix on its own might not seem that threatening—although I honestly have no idea what all goes into it, but I’m guessing as much crap as what’s in most non-organic/non-natural food these days—the fact that it can develop a fatal mold should perhaps be conspicuously labeled on each box.

Scary stuff.

Getting this design right is going to take me some time today (working on it around other stuff). I’m having to refamiliarize myself with how WordPress does themes, so bear with me as things look wonky, weird, or just plain wrong.
