Brilliant piece

Give this great article a read about a recent shrub appearance in California for Earth Day. Already sounds sickening, doesn’t it? The author, Mark Morford, hits many nails on the head (and the more I read this guy’s stuff, the more I like him).

And I’m easily diverted—train wrecks catch my eye. I found the show “The Girls Next Door” by accident—the show about Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends—and I find it hilariously funny. Yeah, yeah, it’s stupid, so sue me. It actually helps me feel *better* about myself, hehe. Talk about breaking with reality…the way those people live is just…

It’s almost that time again… November is “National Novel Writing Month” and NaNoWriMo is gathering steam. It’s time to feverishly pound out 50,000 words in one month and hope to hell the end result is a coherent story. This time I feel ahead of the game…I have a story idea (horror), a general outline, and…

  1. What gets me is this: 1) why aren’t we *all* out in the streets screaming “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore!”, and 2) How can 32% of Americans still *approve* of the job Bush is doing?

    That’s some strong-ass Kool-Aid.
