Have zester, will travel…er, cook

I feel like I’m becoming a “real” cook: I am now the proud owner of a real, honest-to-goodness, handheld, long, razor-sharp zester. I’ve had one of those four-sided graters forever, but I find it cumbersome to use. But now, with this new toy, I’m set. *rubs hands together in glee* I’ve got two lemon zest-based recipes I’m going to try: Chicken with Lemon, Cumin, and Mint and Lemon Risotto. The chicken I’m trying tonight; the risotto, tomorrow. I absolutely love lemon, so I’m excited to start zesting it into everything.

The zester will also of course work its magic on one of my other favs, parm reggiano.

Is it wrong to love a kitchen tool so much? *happy sigh*…
