Happy Christmas Eve

I’m refusing to think about bad things. Roomie and I have the house all decked out, she made this wonderful pepperoni bread and little pigs-in-blankets, we watched Santa Claus is Comin to Town, which I’d not seen since I was a child—Burgermeister Meisterburger! I’d completely forgotten about him—but watching this as an adult made me aware of how VERY inappropriate some of the songs are! We then watched The Year Without a Santa Claus (“IIII’m Mister White Christmas, I’m Mister Snow…”) and the newer one done by ABC Family, A Miser Brothers’ Christmas (which used the “III’m Mister White Christmas…” song so many times we will be singing it for a week). Now we’re watching A Charlie Brown Christmas, then we’ll watch Rudolph and then Love, Actually.

And then the xmas eve shots! WOOT!

And one last bit of decorating I did today:

The Bumble decorates the tree

ETA: Found a version of the song “Snow Miser,” retitled “Mr. Heatmiser,” by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (hear it here set to the clips from the movie). Oh yeah, it’s blastin’ in the house right now.

I am borrowing this idea from a few other blogs I read: Welcoming July with pictures. Here are a few shots of my small green space at this point in the year: As the first bloom fades, several other coneflowers are ready to take its place! I can’t wait to see them. The caterpillars feasted;…
