Feathered friend

I spent some time outside yesterday reading, and happily lots of birds realized I wasn’t a threat and so flitted around the feeders and coasted on the wind just above my head. I saw doves, cardinals, titmice, finches, gulls, robins, and a young osprey.

At one point a pair of titmice were busy at one of the feeders, very close to me, so I pulled out my camera and attempted to snap pictures. I just love titmice; they are such beautiful little birds, and their song is happy and uplifting. Luckily, I got this shot of one of them:

And I tried to get an image of the pair in the tree, but this was the best I could get without more effort (I really wasn’t that motivated to move, disturb the birds, wait for them to come back, etc etc…). Can you find the one bird in the picture?

Awww! Actually I’ve sort of adopted some outside kitties, and one day one of them caught a little finch…I was sad, but I know it’s the way of nature. Ah well…
