Hi November.

MondayI didn’t properly greet you yesterday, since I was recovering from Halloween night and spending time with out-of-town friends before they had to go, well, back out of town.

But hi. How are you? Thank you for bringing cooler weather to this part of Florida.

You are going to be a nutty month for me—not that I’m complaining. Oh no! I love it. As I just tweeted, you are “creativity on crack” month. Why? Because I am attempting

I already do something artful almost every day, so that challenge shouldn’t really be that hard. I’ll be doing pixels or digital scrapping or digital collage or actual collage or sketchings or……you get the idea. I just like the idea of challenging myself to do something EVERY DAY, instead of when the mood takes me.

As for NaNo…well…heh. I’ve tried it a few times in the past, and writing every day is *very* hard for me. Don’t know why. But I can write pages and pages one day, and the next few days I’m spent. So again, attempting NaNo is a way to try to get myself used to writing more regularly. Goodness knows I’ll never get my books finished at the rate I’m currently going.

So you see, November, we’ve got a pretty wild ride ahead of us (and with an awesome turkey feast break in a couple of weeks or so; yum!).

I’ll let you get back to doing what you do, and I’m gonna go dive into my first NaNo pages. I’ll be updating my word count on my sidebar later today, and I’ll be posting my daily art to Flickr.

Your humble creative servant along for the ride,
Me

Just had to share! Tonight I decided to try making solid perfumes to go with my lip balms and candles, so I whipped up a test batch using a new fragrance oil called “Bella,” which I will be calling “Isle of Bella.” Yeah, I’ll have Edward and Jacob ones eventually too; I’m also planning Forks,…

  • I am…the frog whisperer

As is obvious if you’ve seen previous posts by me, I adore toads. I adore frogs, too, although I see them less often around here. But last night, after a day of steady, light rain, the tree frogs made their presence known with their exuberant singing. Well, “singing” is not the right term; “throaty croaks…

In between making some really cool digital ATCs and other artsy projects for Cassandra’s Halloween Masquerade blog party tomorrow, I finally finished putting more lip balms up into the Geek Bliss Etsy store… Yep, the Twilight-themed balms are ready to go! And in plenty of time for New Moon, lol! “I Kissed A Cullen” is…

I have been challenged to get to 25,000 words in my NaNo story by the end of this weekend (I am currently at 6,000). If I make the challenge, I will be rewarded—quite nicely, I might add. If I do not make the word count, I will be subjected to something wacky enough that I…
