Marie Week: To start, a costume!

It’s time to start celebrating Marie, the infamous queen remembered for her extravagance, fashion, larger-than-life reputation, and in the end, strength and resolve. This party is the brainchild of Joy at Cupid’s Charm and she has kicked off the celebration with a sale…go check it out! The party idea came about to celebrate the new Stampington special-issue magazine title Marie, which hits newsstands today, and the fact that Joy’s work is in it:

I love any reason for a party (blog or RL), so each day I’m going to add a bit of Marie fun with some of my own kind of flair, haha.

To start, I made a little Marie ATC:

And if it’s a party, then you need a costume! And not just any costume…we should honor Marie properly and dress as her, just like Holly of The Girls Next Door did for her birthday a couple of years ago. Yeah, I’m an unabashed GND fan. ;-) Holly had Trashy Lingerie design this sumptuous & sexy Marie costume for her, and they now offer it for sale…and for today, we’ll pretend we *are* Marie and that money is no object!

(Images of Holly modeling the costume are borrowed from Trashy!)

And here I am, queen for a day! Hahaha!

From Joss Whedon’s guest columnist stint this week at TVGuide.com: Obviously, we’ll see advances in technology. TiVo, iPods, streaming video — the way we watch TV is changing dramatically. It’s on our phones, in our cars — even projected on specialized eyeglasses. But don’t listen to the talk about having shows beamed directly into your…

Via the Unofficial BSG blog, I found this hilarious page—hottie Jamie Bamber & his nearly naked scene in the episode “Final Cut” is featured on the site Fleshbot. Ok, I’ve never heard of Fleshbot, but I can deduce what it’s about, lol. The site is for men (of course), so I guess that explains why…
